A couple of people raised some good points, im a firm believer in have a Internet without borders, the problem is if you have a company with mail servers that sit in a specific country, you are subject to the laws of that country. This whole problem would have been avoided if they guy used anonymous re mailers.

Secondly, although we have a belief in certain human rights, I dont think we should be expecting the whole world to abide by them under our time frames. We can ask them and suggest that what they are doing isnt right, but trying to apply a set of global standers to the whole world seems a bit premature. Our country developed very differently than from other countries. Cultures need space to develop what is right and wrong in their own time and on their own terms. If you rush people to adopt a set of standards they are not prepared for, it does more harm then good.
