Very interesting op-ed from Chinese official media. "The healthy development of Internet politics will be of great importance to the development of a socialist democracy. Internet technology seems to provide a natural breeding ground for the development o

"So what is growing in China is an authoritarian, patriotic, racially defined, Confucian Chinese project which is going to be a formidable challenge not just to the United States but, I think, to democracy, freedom, and human rights all around the world."

"People are taught that they are threatened by democracy, that democracy would make people weak."
This professor is misinformed. Do we learn from different books?
I thought China is a communist country. If its a communist country then it must be a pro-democracy country. That is why we have the word "PEOPLE" attached to the country's name - PEOPLE'S republic of China. And that is why across many streets in nearly every major city in China are the names "Liberation Street" or "People's Square", names that signify Democracy.
So how can he try to claim that a Communist country is anti-democratic when democratic is precisely the goals of Communism?
In fact, 60 years ago, Adolf Hitler taught us that Communism must be rejected because Communism was too democratic and it would make us weak. He said in Mein Kampf, chapter 2:
"The Jewish doctrine of Marxism rejects the aristocratic principle of Nature and replaces the eternal privilege of power and strength by the mass of numbers and their dead weight. Thus it denies the value of personality in man, contests the significance of nationality and race, and thereby withdraws from humanity the premise of its existence and its culture. As a foundation of the universe, this doctrine would bring about the end of any order intellectually conceivable to man. And as, in this greatest of ail recognizable organisms, the result of an application of such a law could only be chaos, on earth it could only be destruction for the inhabitants of this planet."
