Matt Forney: "If the debate over Tibet turns this summer’s contests in Beijing into the Human Rights Games, as seems inevitable, Western ticket-holders expecting to find Chinese angry at their government will instead find Chinese angry at them."

"On the day after her husband’s sentence to 3.5 years in prison for his blogging activities, house arrested blogger Zeng Jinyan wrote a letter explaining her side to their story. Here now thanks to one friendly netizen is an English translation.."

here is a wonderful poem written as a comment on ABC disscussion forum:
What do you want from us?
When we were called "sick man of Asia", we were called peril.
When we billed to be the next superpower, we're called the threat
When we closed our doors, you smuggled drugs to open markets.
when we embrace free trade, you blame us for taking away your jobs.
when we're fall
when we're falling apart, you marched in your troops and wanted your
fair share.
when we're putting the broken pieces together, "Free Tibet" you
screamed! "it was invasion."
So we tried communism, you hated us for being communist.
So we embraced capitalism, you hate us for being capitalist,
Then we have a billion people, you said we're destroying the planet.
Then we limit our numbers, you said it was human rights abuses.
When we were poor, you think we're dogs,
When we loan you cash, you blamed us for your debts.
When we build our industries, you called us polluters.
When we sell you goods, you blamed us for global warming,
When we buy oil, you called that exploitation and genocide.
When we were lost in chaos and rampage, you wanted rule s of laws for us.
When we uphold law and order against violence, you called that
violation of human rights.
When we were silent, you said you want us to have free speech.
When we were silent no more, you say we were brainwashed.
Why do you hate us so much? We asked. "No". You answered, "we don't hate you".
We don't hate you either Bud, do you understand us?? "of course we
do", you said, "We have CNN, BBC, and CBC".
But why, we still feel, your western people are not happy with us.
What do you really want from us??
My friend, What do you really want from us??

What is the best strategy to promoting democracy in China that is not against Chinese interest? How do you prove that sincerity?
Most Chinese reject Western techniques primarily because it will lead China to become the next Soviet Union. A weaker and divided China.
I have a better strategy. That is instead of following the Soviet model, China should follow the American model.
America created a Union of 13 states and achieve democracy from it.
China should consider forming a union with Mongolia, Vietnam, North Korea, South Korea and Japan and together this Union will be governed through a federal government that is democratic.
This will absolutely counter the suspicion that any democratic efforts is to undermine China for China will emerge more stronger with the union of those countries.
Kick this idea around and I am sure it will be a whole lot more palatable by the Chinese. The crust of this idea is not about the breaking up of China into tiny pieces like the Soviet, but an expansion in territory of China to include other Communist and non-Communist nations and turn them democratic as well under a single Union that will be determine based on the principles of democracy, one person one vote.
Am I a genius or what. Its time I get NED funding to push this idea. It will completely democratize East Asia. And it is an idea that I believe will be approved by the majority of East Asians if we have a democratic vote.
(I don't think I am a genius. I am just thinking outside the box. Now, with this idea, I have made it easy for you guys to promote democracy in China without the Chinese being suspicious of your motives. )

That must have been the most pathetic poetry I have read in years.
Most Westerners are simply brainwashed into hating others. Think Hitler.
The right way to deal with them is to ignore them.
They say the opposite of love is not hate, but apathy. It is quite true in my case. When all the biased reports came out on Tibet, I don't feel angry at all. In fact, I am a little happier because more Chinese people are joining my camp.
In fact, when it came to disagreement over China, I am seldom angry with anyone. But I think a lot of people reading what I have to say are for some reason angry with me even though I don't mean to make them angry. So it is not true to stereotype that Chinese people are angry at them instead of their governments.
Well, while I am here, I must as well say this in response to the article about how people below 40 in china doesn't know anything about Tiananmen Massacre. To Matt forney, Tiananmen Massacre never happened. Nobody died there. Do you think bodies can be crushed like biscuits(my impression of Ma Lik)? Have you tried it? Those who believe that the Chinese government would send in tanks to crush over 2000 students are total idiots, total gullible minds. You need to rexamine your source and realize that you have been brainwashed into believing that Tiananmen Massacre thingy. Don't believe me? Well watch my video and be enlightened.
The Myth of Tiananmen Massacre with Eye Witness 天安门屠杀是一个神话
http://youtube.com/watch?v=SbX0gAk3zRA
Anyway, to Matt Forney, I hope you are enlighten after watching the video. Tiananmen Massacre never happened. That there was a massacre at Tiananmen square is a pigment of your imagination.
I hope I did not offend anyone by that. If so, with all humbleness, I apologize.

"here is a wonderful poem written as a comment"
Coming soon, Chuck Liu presents his latest conspiracy theories via the medium of modern dance and Mahathir Fan weaves a wall sized tapestry that depicts the rampant evil of gweilo foreign policy.
"My friend, What do you really want from us??"
1. A panda for every American child.
2. No more than a single ! or ? in any given sentence.
3. An acknowledgement that laughably unrealistic hair pieces are an all too common characteristic of the Politburo Standing Committee of the CCP.
4. A sense of perspective.
If you can give us three out of the above four then negotiations can begin.

Talking smack is easy, but what are the facts beyond ad hominem attack?
http://www.german-foreign-policy.com/en/fulltext/56145
Canadian journalist reveal that a German Foreign Ministry front organization is playing a decisive role in the preparations of the anti-Chinese Tibet campaign. According to this information, the campaign is being orchestrated from a Washington based headquarters. It had been assigned the task of organizing worldwide "protests" at a conference organized by the Friedrich Naumann Foundation (affiliated with the German Free Democratic Party - FDP) in May 2007. The plans were developed with the collaboration of the US State Department and the self-proclaimed Tibetan Government in Exile

"Canadian journalist reveal that a German Foreign Ministry front organization is playing a decisive role in the preparations of the anti-Chinese Tibet campaign."
Good catch again. I hope they keep it up. These few weeks, I have seen so many Chinese people enlightened and came out to support their country in a scale I have never seen before. I can only thank them for what they have done. The future looks bright.

MF, the anti crowd is such a small circle. If you check the Globe & Mail source, you'll see honorable mention of those 3 Canadians who hung the sign at Great Wall of China.
We talked about that earlier, the 3 are linked to Canadian Prim Minister Stephen harper's advisor Tenzin Khangsar via Canadian Tibet Committee.
