Read my full profile here. This blog is where I (mainly) write about ideas and issues related to my work and research. My Friendfeed micro-blog in the middle column shows what I'm reading and viewing around the web every day, mixed in with my Twitter conversations.

And, no, the argument "do nothing wrong and worry about nothing" does not convince me that this is okay.
It's called fascism when fear about one group of people infects the thinking about the entire community and then creates justifications and actions to limit the entire community. Especially when that one group of people causing the fear has little or no relation in motive to the motives of the entire community, which on its own is pursuing, in majority, a happy and sustainable lifestyle.
This is bizarre and unconscionable.
