Freedom of expression, I believe has to be a fundamental right of every global citizen. In that regard, companies like Google, Yahoo and Microsoft have a very important role to play. While giving the Chinese the access to such services is important, these firms simply MUST oppose the Chinese Government's autocracy with respect to the views posted on blogs. That is the only way for such intellectuals from China to express themselves, and even the Chinese Government should respect that in this Information Age.

In that regard, India is way better, where the government recognises Freedom of expression as a fundamental right of every citizen.
