Foreign Policy magazine's November/December 2004 issue mentions North Korea zone and my "Worldwide Conversation" paper in an article titled "Web of Influence." The article describes the way in which blogs are an increasingly influential and important part of the discourse on foreign policy issues.
The article also cites the work of my fellow Berkman fellow Ethan Zuckerman, who not only blogs regularly on Africa but has also done some important analysis on media attention patterns - including the attention patterns of blogs. Ethan, who founded Geekcorps and Tripod, is my mentor in all things geek-related and in some things that aren't. He is a genius. AND a Young Global Leader. See the notes and slides from his recent talk for Pop!Tech 2004.
