Was wondering what was up. I'm in it, but for the first time ever haven't gotten email in about that long. What is up with that! Thanks for the heads up that others are having difficulties.

Did not notice any problems with gmail here in Shanghai, although traffic seems pretty low. But no problem in sending and receiving through gmail in the past six hours.

It may have something to do with the sudden increase in new Gmail users. People without an invite who previously registered to receive an account were invited last night to make one. The form to register an interest used to be at http://gmail.google.com/gmail/help/about.html

Gmail is down again currently, 2.27.2005 8:09a.m. PST.

I hope that they at least give an explanation. I have experienced this before, but never have I experienced outages by an email provider without advanced or retroactive notice.

Must keep reminding myself, it's "beta".

Yeah, gmail sucks. It is down again.

The moral of the story is that, google is not super computer science. They are still ordinary people anyway.

Its back up lmao

Gmail is in BETA guys. That means that you shouldnt be using it for critical stuff anyway. Give those guys a break - they are trying to improve their service while giving the best user experience among any other email service providers. When they release the final version - and Gmail is down - then you have a reason to complain. Till then, go find someone else.

It is *so* down still.

Wow. You people are something!

1. You want something really GOOD.
2. You want something FREE of charge
3. You want 100 meg of storage.

And you bitch when they are down for couple hours, - go ahead and sign for Yahoo.com. Maybe then you will realize how ungrateful you are. Typical American consumer mentality – give me everything for nothing.

I doubt if any of you has any understanding of software development process. Shut the FUCK UP or sigh with somebody else. I just wanted to know when they will be back online.
